Single
A turboprop in the nose pulls a clean, fast four-seater. Simple to own and fly.
Plaid Aircraft is designing a fast four-seat airplane in carbon composite. Fly it as a single, then add a second engine at the tail and it becomes a centerline push-pull twin.
Both versions share the same carbon airframe, wing and cabin. The twin adds a rear engine and pusher propeller on the same centerline as the nose engine, so an engine failure brings no asymmetric thrust and no sudden swing.

A second turboprop at the tail adds speed and redundancy, with both engines on the centerline.
The airplane is in detailed design. Aerodynamics, structure and systems are being refined in a full digital model, and we are working with engine and component suppliers.
